Sewing Project Schedule???

I  need a way to distribute Costume Sewing, Clothing Sewing, and Gift Sewing/Orders... Plus some time to empty the box of UFOs. My idea: Each week pick something to work on an ideally finish, but rotate weeks between the categories.

Week 1: Costume Piece
Week 2: Clothing Piece
Week 3: Gift/Order Piece
Week 4: UFO Piece

To that end, here are the pieces:

So... There are 3 years of costume pieces if I work on only 1 thing per week, but I'd like to have these all done by Festival next year... Some of them can be combined - 2 German shirts and a pirate shirt in a week, 2 pairs of hose, arming cap and wulsthaube, a hat and a crown, etc. Some of the costume pieces are already in progress. The green leaf skirt and the gold apron both only need waistbands. The hexie forepart only needs stitched together. That said, the Arming Gown or Wams und Hosen and the Cranach Gown are probably going to take more than a week a piece...

I need to make a real plan.

Costume Schemes

I need to write these out and organize the ideas some. This overwrites all previous costume scheme posts unless specifically mentioned. Items in bold need work. Items in italics need Hubby's assistance.

Plague Revamp:

Current costume consists of: patchwork coat, golden hood, golden gloves, white chemise, moth corset, brown salwar pants, Plague Mask, and wet felted hat.

Change to: Green leaf skirt, green leaf bodice, hexie-patch forepart, golden hood, golden gloves, golden apron, white chemise, Plague Mask, and wet felted hat.

Action items:

  1. Attach waistband to skirt
  2. Finish cutting/tipping/inserting bones into bodice
  3. Bind bodice
  4. Set grommets for bodice
  5. Cut/press/place ~8 more hexies for forepart
  6. Stitch together forepart hexies
  7. Attach waistband to apron

Pirate Revamp:

Current costume consists of: patchwork coat, white chemise, moth corset, brown salwar pants, mini-hat, head scarf, brown woven belt, sword and frog.

Changes required: Coat - remove sleeves and face armscyes, cut slit up back to waist and face, open sides and set grommets for laces, set doily in center back as vent. Pieces needed: Bernadette pirate shirt, corseted cincher (Aranea Black "Anna"??), leather belt.

Action items:

  1. Remove coat sleeves and face armscyes
  2. Cut and face coat center back slit to waist
  3. Open side seams to hips, face, set grommets, and lace
  4. Cut and face back "vent" with hoop and stitch in doily
  5. Make waist cincher
  6. Make Bernadette pirate shirt
  7. Determine leather belt phrase

House Pride (optional): Not doing this one. Silver won't match the green/brown of the new Plague pieces.

Alternate use for Plague Revamp skirt and bodice. Requires: Silver/grey chemise, silver brocade forepart, silver and green hat. - This might not work as the binding on the "green leaf bodice" is in brown.

Action items:

  1. Make chemise
  2. Make forepart
  3. Make hat

Tartan Peek-a-Boo:

Consists of: white chemise, hoops, black skirt, blue underskirt (forepart??), black bodice (Rabbit and Hat "Baroness") w/o straps, tartan stomacher, black-and-tartan hat.

Action items:

  1. Cut, sew, hem, and pleat black skirt with no opening
  2. Make skirt-hike
  3. Cut open underskirt back seam and fix to be a second "forepart" - not enough circumference to fit over the hoops, but not enough visible to require full skirt. Make it pull double duty!
  4. Tape Baroness pattern
  5. Make Baroness bodice in black, omitting straps
    1. IDEA!! Make straps removable and make bodice Tudoro-grey reversible. Incorporate Tudoro sleeves onto removable straps or leave separate if necessary
  6. Make tartan stomacher (optional: reversible w/ Tudoro white/chevron markings)
  7. Make pancake hat with upper-brim and lower-cap in tartan, lower-brim and upper-cap in black to match dress

Mermaid:

Consists of: crazy-dyed skirt, canvas tank top with laced sides, beaded belly dance belt with attached fishnet as a "hip scarf," shell and flower crown.

Action items:

  1. Dye skirt strips
  2. Gather and sew skirt strips
  3. Draft and sew top
  4. Design and sew belt and attach fishnet
  5. Sew beads into fishnet
  6. Make crown
Tudoro:

Consists of: Gown OR bodice/skirt, forepart, detachable sleeves slashed with black silk, white chemise, forepart with chevrons, tail bag, leaf hat, blue parasol.

Action items:

  1. Determine if making gown or bodice/skirt
    1. If gown:
      1. Make gown and sleeves
    2. If bodice/skirt:
      1. See Tartan Peek-a-Boo for bodice and sleeves
      2. Cut, pleat, and hem skirt with center-front opening
  2. Make forepart w/ applique chevrons
  3. Add parasol loops to tail bag
  4. Repair beads on parasol
Landsknecht (Hubby)

Consists of: EITHER Arming Gown or Wams und Hosen, shirt, tellerbarett, arming cap, and short hose.

Action items:

  1. Determine colors
  2. Design slashing
  3. Sew Arming Gown or Wams und Hosen
  4. Sew shirt
  5. Sew tellerbarett, mirroring slashing on clothing
  6. Sew arming cap
  7. Sew hose

Trossfrau (to mirror Landsknecht)

Consists of: Cranach gown, shirt, tellerbarett, wulsthaube, short hose, smocked apron

Action items:

  1. Sew gown, model slashing on sleeves, bodice, and guards on Landsknecht costume
  2. Sew shirt
  3. Sew tellerbarett
  4. Sew wulsthaube
  5. Sew short hose
  6. Smock, hem, and add waist band to apron
