A Yearly Update Part 2

So in Part 1 I crossed off all the work I have done over the last year (which doesn't seem to have amounted to much) and I identified some plans that have since changed. Here I've taken off the completed projects, amended the things highlighted in RED, and made some notes on other projects.

Anything highlighted in GREEN is something that will be removed from the list because I just don't want to make it anymore.

Anything from #29 onward is new!

The Original List:

  1. Dungeon Master Work
    1. Mend jeans – acquire new button
  2. Scottish Lass - Buchanan
    1. Brown Skirt
    2. Buchanan Forepart
    3. Buchanan hat - need more brown linen
    4. New bodice - still reversible but modify the pattern to fit better under the arms and over the bust.
  3. Swimsuit
    1. Mock up
    2. Make top
    3. Make bottom
    4. Make coverup
  4. Bench Covers UFO
    1. Elastic Casings
    2. Elastic
    3. Delivery
  5. K Shorts
    1. Cut
    2. Sew
    3. Deliver
  6. Oleander Dress (Canton fabric)
    1. Tape pattern
    2. Mock-up bodice
    3. Sew dress
  7. Sleepy Belly Dancer Sleeves UFO
    1. Sew
    2. Deliver
  8. Winterberry Cape (size 18/20) – This one has changed a little. I’m using a Gunnar Deathrage pattern now, but I need to mock up parts of it to make sure I know how to do those steps. The pattern is already cut.
    1. Cut pattern
    2. Mock up front slits smaller to make sure I know wtf I’m doing.
    3. Cut fabric
    4. Determine lining method - Counter-hemmed seams! Chonky but sturdy and won't allow the lining to sag nearly as bad as bagging it. Sets a shape well. Watch out with water around the silk - the dye bleeds! – Because of the different pattern, the lining method is no longer a concern that I have. Still need to be careful with water, though.
    5. Sew
  9. Declic Shirt - Purple Fabric
    1. Modify pattern
    2. Cut
    3. Sew
  10. Mermaid
    1. Make net hip scarf
      1. Closure method
      2. Sew in beads
    2. Make top – Unfettered Patterns Tie-Shoulder Tank Top! Perfect, easy, minimal modification, and I finished it last night. No net cover, though. Doesn’t really need it.
      1. Chiton-style sleeveless
      2. Net cover
    3. Make belt? – Woven? Sewn? Sewn and beaded?
    4. Make corset
      1. Chamomile cincher draft - I no longer think I want to use this pattern. Rather, I would like to modify my own corset pattern to have the features that I liked in the Chamomile pattern. This is due largely to the bodice pattern that I used for the Scottish Lass bodice not fitting properly.
      2. Sew
      3. Set latch busk
      4. Bind
      5. Set grommets
  11. Viking Revamp
    1. Make new underdress - currently drawing threads to mark the body of the dress because I couldn't get it lined up right to just draw on the lines.
    2. Make new shirt x2
      1. One white
      2. One dyed
    3. Dye
      1. Also dye corset laces

    6. Patch overdress
    7. Overlock pants
    8. Thread elastic in pants - legs and waist

    1. Chiton under-layer
    2. Corset
    3. Skirt
  17. UFO Box – I know that this was on the list as a note to reference the box of UFOs, but I did clear that box out and organize the projects into smaller, labeled boxes and it’s awesome.
  18. Solis Button-front Shirt – mockup and evaluation
  19. Chelsea Raglan Shirt – mockup and evaluation
  20. Ash Camisole – mockup and evaluation
