Andronikos (human, "victory of man") and Shiphrah (elf, "beautiful")
Children:
- Felix (half-elf, "lucky, successful"), aged 25, given honors for planning and executing a raid on a large bandit complex at age 21, betrothed to a nobleman's daughter of high standing, influential in the king's court.
- Damaris (half-elf, "heifer, girl"), aged 20, trying desperately to win her parents' approval while following her own path, feels like she doesn't quite measure up to her brothers, her mother nearly died giving birth to her, deeply desires to become a Knight of the Order of Seripha. Impatient, impulsive, loves sweets, desperately wants to visit the Dwarven Kingdoms.
- Abdiel (half-elf, "servant of god"), aged 18, newly ordained as deacon of the church and on track for priesthood, cloistered to the city's temple.
Andronikos is a General in His Majesty's army, a rank that helped him obtain the hand of Lady Shiphrah from one of the middling Elven great houses. With the honors received and the wealth from his wife, his family stepped into more influential spheres. Andronikos was able to obtain Rosenworth Manor and moved his wife and child to the country. When Damaris was born, Shiphrah convinced her husband to buy a house in the city as well. While the children rarely spent more than a week at a time in town, Andronikos spent more time there than at Rosenworth after his third child was born.
Rosenworth Manor is an estate of nearly 300 acres. Damaris thinks of it in terms of "zones," of which there are three: living, working, growing. The "Living Zone" consists of the manor itself, the servants quarters at nearly the same size, a small barracks with a training yard, and a chapel. The "Working Zone" contains the barn, stables, woodworker's shop, and pastures. The "Growing Zone" is made up of the kitchen's gardens, her mother's flower garden, the hazelnut, apple, and pear orchards, and the fields that rotate with rye, lentils, and cabbage. A village nearby supplies much of their field labor and acts as a trading hub for Rosenworth and the smaller estates in the area.

Damaris blinked hard to try and keep from crying. Her teacher, an old gnomish woman named Relin, had rapped her hands with a switch when she got the fingering wrong and was now lecturing her sternly about... something. She had stopped paying attention when she realized that the door was open. At age six she was already taller and much faster than the crone. Without a second thought, she darted toward the door. There was no one in the hall so she continued. The front door was closed but it would be unlocked at this time of day. Within seconds she was under the open sky. 'I might as well keep going,' she told herself. By the time she made it to the road she had a stitch in her side and she couldn't see her home any longer. 'I'll just wait for a traveler to come by and join up with them.' Her luck held and in a few short minutes she spotted a cart topping a rise. When it reached her she was delighted to see a pair of dwarves and an orc. One of the dwarves was armored and carried a heavy axe. The orc was also armed but less armored. The second dwarf was plainly dressed but nicely kept, and he pulled the cart to a stop in front of her. She asked to join him, still panting from her run. He didn't answer her question but stayed to talk. Damaris didn't notice when the other dwarf disappeared, or that he was leading her father and his guard when he reappeared. She was too caught up in the trader's stories of his home and the magic it contained. From that moment on, she dreamed of traveling north to visit the Dwarven kingdoms.
At age 7, while watching the soldiers in the yard with her father, she stated her interest in becoming a knight. An older gentleman, one of the ranking soldiers in her father's guard, heard her and offered to teach her the blade. Her lessons were restructured to include martial training, strategy, and diplomacy in addition to the home management, music, history, and etiquette work her mother had already started.
